Jo Ann University Hospital starts a partnership with “Accreditation Canada” in order to obtain international accreditation

The General Director of Jo Ann University Hospital, Professor Zaza Sopromadze, has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Katerina Tarasova, Executive Director of “Accreditation Canada”, an international accreditation organization. 

Under this agreement, Jo Ann University Hospital will work with “Accreditation Canada” to meet international accreditation standards. 

The signing ceremony was attended by various individuals, including Tamar Zarginava, Vice President of “European University”, Paata Bukia, Clinical Director of Jo Ann University Hospital, Professor Giorgi Fkhakadze, representative of “Accreditation Canada” in Georgia, and Yuliya Shcherbina, European development supporter of “Accreditation Canada”.

According to the Minister of Occupied Territories of Georgia, Labor, Health and Social Protection, a clinic with international accreditation will be designated as a provider of medical services for the universal health care program starting January 1, 2025. Joe Ann University Hospital is required to submit the signed agreement with the accreditation organization to the Ministry by December 31, 2023 and provide information about the current certification process, according to the order.
